Readers use our pages to plan real compliance work and budgets. That sets the standard.
Evidence before recommendations
- Authoritative sources first. Framework facts come from the bodies behind them (AICPA, ISO, NIST, CISA) wherever those publish them openly. Where they do not, we use auditors and certification bodies and label them as such.
- Every source labelled. Each source shows its type, so you can see whether a statement comes from a standards body or from a vendor with something to sell.
- No invented numbers. Prices and statistics are shown only with the publisher who stated them. If nobody publishes a price, we say "Public pricing unavailable" or "Contact vendor".
- Hold, don't guess. A claim we cannot verify is left out rather than approximated.
Freshness
Vendor and cost facts are re-verified at least every 45 days, framework facts at least every 180 days and evergreen material at least yearly. Our monitoring flags facts before they go stale, and our publishing system refuses to publish pages whose facts are older than these limits.
No guarantees
We never say that a checklist, a tool or a platform will get you through an audit or certification. Only a CPA firm (for SOC 2) or an accredited certification body (for ISO 27001) can reach that conclusion.
How pages are written
Drafting may be assisted by software, including AI tools. Every factual statement is checked against the cited source before publication, and a person is responsible for each page. We do not publish to hit a volume target.
Independence from vendors
- No vendor can pay to be listed, ranked, or described differently. Platforms are listed alphabetically.
- Referral or affiliate relationships, if any, are disclosed where the link appears, and never decide which vendor we describe or how.
- Sponsored content is labelled "Sponsored" and paid links carry
rel="sponsored". - Vendors do not see or approve editorial content before publication.
